IRS Urges Small Businesses To Avail Themselves Of Tax Resources

Tax season for the bulk of us has come and gone, but taxes are never far from a small business owner’s mind.

The IRS is stepping up its public relations efforts this year, as is shown by this press release blasted across the Internet in recent days. For an agency that commands about as much respect from taxpayers as an ant on a tire, they’re making an aggressive effort to make sure small businesses know what regulations they’re filing under:

“When you’re running a business, you don’t need to be a tax expert, too. But you do need some basics to stay tax compliant so your business can thrive,” said Faris Fink, IRS Commissioner for the Small Business and Self-Employed Division. “There are many tax credits and deductions currently available. So now is a good time to learn about the tools and services the IRS offers.”
